What makes an independent support worker better?

Although you may not have access to a large amount of support workers. Having an independent worker means that you will be given support by someone who will build a strong connection with you to better provide assistance, instead of an agency of rotating staff. An independent may be better suitable for those whos value of support is quality, and connection instead of complexity and availability. You will also be supporting them directly, so costs may be cheaper and the amount you pay, is the amount they receive and you will be better supporting your worker. The cost won't get minimised by multiple middlemen.

Is an unregistered provider worse than a registered one?

The difference means that there are other requirements to be able to provide services to NDIS participants and excludes other certain supports.Unregistered providers are still obligated to follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, have a NDIS Worker screening check, and a process for complaints management.Max Lowe will still uphold a certain standard regardless of only being an unregistered provider. Unregistered is not synonymous with less care. It's just a different set of rules and support services.

It's passion for me not just work. I find that maintaining a healthy work life balance helps us stay our best so I can always provide you with the best care. You provide me an opportunity where I can help you succeed and feel supported.

"An example of Max's genuine care for his patients involved someone who had increasing psychosis and agitation. The local team were having challenges de-esculating the situation. Max used his calm and caring manner together with the relationship and trust he previously built to diminish the situation. Max suggested a less restrictive intervention which worked very effectively and turned the situation around for the better"
